The Papua New Guinea Australia Alumni Association (PNGAAA) has launched its first ever alumni awards to recognise and honour outstanding Australian alumni in Papua New Guinea.
The awards, which will be presented at this year’s PNGAAA Annual Dinner which will take place on Thursday, 9th November, 2017 from 6pm-10pm at the Stanley Hotel & Suites for alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community and country through exemplary leadership, integrity, innovation and hard work.

Supported by the Australian High Commission in Papua New Guinea, the Alumni Awards are distinguished honours given to outstanding alumni who have inspired others through their local, national and international connections and achievements.
Awards winners are expected to benefit through increased attention to their public profile and the value and networking opportunities that arise from receiving international recognition.
The Alumni Awards will recognise achievements in four categories:
- Alumni of the Year
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
- Australia High Commission; Women in Leadership Award
- Young Leader Award
All Australian Alumni in Papua New Guinea are encouraged to apply, or to nominate other alumni whose work they consider deserving of international recognition.
