2018 Alumni Awards
The 2018 Alumni Awards recognise and honour alumni of Australian educational institutions in Papua New Guinea who have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community, and country through their exemplary leadership, integrity, innovation, and hard work. Supported by the Australian High Commission in PNG the awards are distinguished honours for those who are an inspiration through their local, national, and international network and achievements.
Nominations reopened and now close on 28 February 2019. Nomination forms are available below. The finalist will be announced in March 2019. Awards winners are expected to benefit through increased attention to their public profile and the valuable networking opportunities that arise from receiving international recognition.
Highlighting the significant contributions made by Australian Alumni in PNG, the Alumni Awards extend and nurture the people-to-people links between Australia and PNG. As advocates and ambassadors for Australia as an excellent “education destination”, winners serve as an example for prospective Papua New Guinean students wishing to pursue studies in Australia.
All nominated alumni should, in addition to category specific requirements, support and build links between Australia and Papua New Guinea while maintaining a commitment to the principles of gender, disability, and social inclusion.
